MyCity.com Unveils New Look, Features and Future Plans
LOS ANGELES, CA – June 15
MyCity.com, a resource for local communities throughout the US, today announced a new look, a community events page and jobs listing board, making it even more functional and capable for users. The company also announced exciting future plans for a toolbar with downloadable ring tones.
“These new changes are just the beginning of our efforts to grow MyCity into the definitive local search site,” says Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Lalé Welsh. “They make MyCity

even more useful and effective for users, helping provide relevant and localized content for people in every nook and cranny around the United States.”
The new front page puts a friendly face on the site, pleasantly masking a formidable back-end that contains a massive body of enriched information. A cool blue color gives the site a relaxing look, and the interface is simple to navigate and is designed to not be too “busy.” The community events listing works as a two-way information portal, where users can read about fun activities around town and also promote their own events. The jobs postings are not just an excellent resource for seekers, but also for local employers that need to fill an open position at their organization quickly and effectively. Respondents will be able to get a description of the job and its requirements, and will be able to submit resumes directly to potential employers. These new features all precede the soon-to-come downloadable ring tones, which will allow users to pick their favorite tunes to play on their cell phones when receiving a call.
MyCity.com allows users to designate their city of residence, and find localized information including the weather, news, restaurant listings, stock market updates, hotel listings, shopping links and travel deals. A search engine featured on the site allows people to search the Internet or locally relevant websites for information, and the yellow pages for phone listings.
